HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU
NEWS & UPDATES
Following the work of "3 Cores Negras" in 2023 I've decided that more research was needed to develop my artistic work around the themes of colorism. The general definition of colorism is as below:
Colorism is a term believed to be first coined in 1982 by Pulitzer Prize winner Alice Walker, was defined by her to mean the “prejudicial or preferential treatment of same-race people based solely on their color.”

Considering all of the above I've started this open research with the support of CEA (Centro de Experiementação Artistica e o espaço M8TRIARCH em Lisboa to research further the themes of colorism and start to build an archive of stories with family, friends and willing participants.

Please get in touch for a chat, I would love to hear your story and I promise that I'll handle it with care and thought.

Teaching Dance in the school
curriculum
Teaching African dance as part of the school curriculum is brilliant. For the truly visionary schools that open that opportunity, I'll keep saying it: "Diversity is the key to creativity and to true sustainable leadership"
